Showcases
The best thing about a comedy festival is getting to take in doses of all types of comics. Showcases were held at most of the festival’s venues — 800 Congress, Antone’s, Velveeta Comedy Lounge, the Parish, Stateside Theater (when not featuring a festival headliner), Palm Door, and Fallout Theater. The sets are typically seven minutes.
Blue Moon

Blue Moon is a defined by the festival as “no-holds-barred showcase of the filthiest and funniest comics in the biz” and it stayed true to its name Thursday evening at the Velveeta Comedy Lounge. Joe DeRosa started the night of dirty stories, followed by Trevor Wilson, Brad Williams, Billy Wayne Davis, Eliza Skinner, Andrew Schulz, Rich Vos, and Kurt Metzger.
New York’s Finest
New York’s Finest ran every night and was Stateside Theater’s last showcase the evening. This is from Friday’s sets (not pictured are Marina Franklin and Chris Redd.)
